Police say that French was not the target of deadly drive by.
Following the Bronx Rappers energetic packed performance, on Thursday February 28 at the famed TLA on Philadelphia’s South street, tragedy struck.
After the show at approximately 11:30 a large crowd assembled at the hotel the Bad Boy artist was a guest at. The police reported “the crowd swelled to a couple hundred fans” awaiting French and Meek Mills arrival. A black four door sedan with tinted windows driving north on Columbus Boulevard approached the large crowd. Witnesses say the passenger window went down and shots were fired reports channel 6 action news.
Two men fired back at the black sedan as it fled the scene. Two young men were shot during the altercation a 28 yr old man who was shot in the shoulder and is in stable condition and a 26 yr old man who was shot in the abdonin and was pronounced dead at the hospital on arrival.
The police found shell cases near the tour bus ,but don’t believe the shooter was gunning for the Bronx Rapper. The investigation is ongoing and the police have no leads at this time.The two men who opened fire at the car as it fled are being held for questioning but are not charged at this time.
French and Meek Mill along with members of the entourage where on the bus at the time of the shooting and in no way are suspects of any kind at this time
